QuantiGene assay was developed based on branched DNA (bDNA) technology, delivering a unique solution for quantitative gene expression analysis. QuantiGene assay allows measurement of mRNA directly from source materials without the need to purify RNA, and eliminates many time consuming and error prone steps associated with PCR-based methods. New generation of QuantiGene 2.0 (QG 2.0), delivers sensitivity comparable to real-time RT-PCR along with better accuracy and precision, as validated by FDA in the Microarray Quality Control (MAQC) Project. QG 2.0 is gaining a reputation as the method of choice for RNAi validation experiments, precisely and accurately monitoring knockdown levels of targets. These attributes are also being applied to biomarker discovery, particularly using a multiplex approach with QuantiGene Plex 2.0 (running on the Luminex xMAP system), serving numerous pre-clinical and clinical trial studies which primarily utilize blood and formalin-fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue samples. Improved bDNA technology is now applicable to detect single copy of mRNA in cells by in situ hybridization.
To complement the gene expression solutions, we have also developed Parallel Luminex xMAP assay menu for profiling and measurement of cytokines, activated Transcription Factors (TFs) and SH2 protein domains.
