Abstract:

A) Filtration principle and Good Laboratory Practice(GLP):
  1. Membrane pore size definitions
  2. How to choose a suitable membrane according chemical compatability, EFA
B) Ultrafiltration and TFF system for biomolecules purification:
  1. General workflow for biotech product
  2. Use ultrafiltration to replace dialysis
  3. For upscales sample use TFF system for continous desalt/concentration/buffer exchange
C) New choices for protein purification:
  1. MEP HyperCel: Mixed-Mode Chromatography Sorbent. It is a good choice for purifying Mabs and is particularly effective to replace conventional HIC
  2. HyperD Ceramic resin: Ceramic HyperD® is the result of rigid composites and can be described as an established innovation
  3. Q and S HyperCel: Enhanced productivity due to high dynamic binding capacity at high flow rates (> 150 mg/mL at 2 minutes Residence time) and distinctive salt sensivelity
