Abstract: |
Quantitative, real-time PCR is a precision science that places high demands on the instrument, chemistry, and software. High thermal and optical uniformity, short equilibration times, and fast ramping rates are critical for precise and rapid quantitative analysis. QIAGEN’s new real-time PCR cycler and HRM analyser, the Rotor-Gene Q, combines multiple optimized design features to provide outstanding analytical sensitivity, speed, and specificity for state-of-the art research. Various examples will be presented how the Rotor-Gene Q can boost performance in applications such as gene expression analysis or miRNA research. A special emphasis will be given to genotyping applications using real-time PCR and the new HRM analysis technique on the same instrument. |

||
Abstract: |
The QIAxcel system offers a broad range of DNA/RNA applications and is highly suited for research in academic as well as pharmaceutical, biotechnology and biomedical laboratories. Pre-programmed methods, in combination with the corresponding gel cartridge, allow separation and analysis of a variety of nucleic acids, including single or multiple PCR fragments, DNA digested with restriction endonucleases, synthesized oligonucleotide, total RNA and cRNA. QIAxcel system not only speeds up DNA and RNA analysis by eliminating slab-gel analysis but also contributes to streamlining the entire sample purification and analysis workflow with QIAGEN automation products. |
