Dr. Marcus Macht received his PhD in Chemistry in 1998. He was the Head of the central service lab of the Centre for molecular medicine Cologne during 1998-2000. In the following two years he was the project coordinator for the Bruker Daltonics / GeneProt cooperation, in charge of the coordination of the installation of 52 mass spectrometers including developmental tasks, service and applicative support. He was the head of application of Bruker Daltonik GmbH since 2002 and became the Director of European life science applications since 2005 up to now. He is responsible for Bruker Daltonics MALDI-TOF, ESI-ion trap, ESI-(Q-)TOF, and FTMS applications with a total of >500 instrument demos and >250 customer trainings per year conducted by 20 application specialists in three application labs in Bremen, Germany.
